INTRAMEDULLARY NAILS
Intramedular Nail is used in the treament of unsable intertrochanteric fragment. Intertrochanteric femur fractures are common in the eldely population because of osteoporosis. Due to the decrease in bone quality and deterioration of its microstructure, fracture often develop with very low-energy trauma.
Lag is the most important feature of proximal femoral intramedular nail. Zimed has 3 different intramedular nail lag screw and those 3 different lag screw are used with the same instrumental set.
